Three Faculty Among The Daily Record’s 2020 Health Care Heroes

Dr. Elizabeth Tanner, Dr. Marianne Fingerhood, and Dr. Brigit VanGraafeiland are among The Daily Record’s 2020 Health Care Heroes.

Their work to keep us healthy and well truly makes them heroes,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Their high professional achievement, community involvement and dedication to excellence contribute to Maryland being a national leader in health care. The Daily Record is honored to recognize their accomplishments.”

Dr. Elizabeth (Ibby) Tanner, an international leader in interprofessional education.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Marianne Fingerhood, recently awarded the DAISY Award for Advanced Practice Clinical Teaching

Nurse Practitioner Award

Dr. Brigit VanGraafeiland, scholarship focused on improving outcomes for children in out of home placement as well as their families

Nurse Practitioner Award

 

The Daily Record received nominations from around the state of Maryland, and Dr. Elizabeth Tanner, Dr. Marianne Fingerhood, and Dr. Brigit VanGraafeiland stood out.

The Daily Record will also highlight the heroes of COVID-19 to recognize emerging heroes.

Nominate a COVID-19 Health Care Hero by May 15.
